Putting Instructions by Dennis

Ole Dennis' putting has been fantastic these days. Occasionally Dennis will give us some gold nuggets to help us with our putts. His philosophy of knocking the f**k out of the ball is still true, but more fine tuned. "Never leave yourself short" he says. My putting has improved lately after implementy these new strategies. I imagine Dennis talking in my ear before every putt now. I feel like Luke Skywalker in Yoda's jedi knight training.

Ricky has bought him a "block" driver. After buying this driver, Ricky felt guilty for betraying the Texan by buying the block. I have seen Ricky feel bad about something before but you could tell the Texan has really left an impression on him. As he lays the old Texan aside this week, please join me in consoling Ricky and helping him let go of the Texan.

The Texan Green side service

Green side service for "The Texan" driver will be held on Thursday 26, 2007. Ricky's famed driver will be layed to rest on #6 par 3 at Highland Walk. The driver will always be remembered for the long and straight drives Ricky was able to make using it.

Tradgedy struck on a mishit off the tee box at #4 last Thursday. The ball hit the Texan right on the shaft above the heel. The Texan will never hit the same again. It was a very sad day indeed.

Like any good cowboy would do with their lame horse, the Texan must be put down.

Dennis Buys Some New Golf Shoes
Dennis buys himself a new pair of shoes from the golf pro shop. Heres how it played out to the best of my knowledge.

Dennis places shoes on counter.

Pro-shop man: Will this be all sir?

Dennis: The shoes and 18 holes of golf.

Pro-shop man:You sure these are the shoes you want?

Dennis: Yes...those fit good.

Pro-shop man: Maybe you want to take them home and try'em out first???

Dennis: No, i'm going to go ahead and get'em.

Pro-shop man: (In a very quite voice) Sir...do you know these are womens shoes?

Dennis: (Not really knowing what to say) Well, I have a small foot and they fit me good.

In all honesty, unless you witnessed this, you would'nt be able to tell if they were mens or womens shoes. But, it did state it on the box.

Battle of the Drivers

Can Ricky and his new Texan driver hold on to the longest drive title for another week? It will be tough because Dennis has a new weapon in his bag. Dennis and his new Cobra are sure to give Ricky and his Texan all he can handle. Everyone is waiting in anticipation to see just how long the drives will be this week. The Texan has amazed everyone with smashes off the tee that appear to go on and on down the fairway. Now its up to Dennis with the new Cobra 460cc X-Speed driver to bring the Texan back down to Earth.Feelings will be hurt and reputations will be broken.

New Clubs vs. Operator.

Shane recently added new irons to his arsenal. On the first outing his score was adversely affected by his new weapons. Dennis did break his incredible concentration by going back and forth across the first green trying to find the hole. It is early yet but right now the clubs are losing.
